PUSH Fitness Phase 1 Reopening Plan

As you may have already heard Marion County has been approved for Phase 1 reopening beginning on Friday May 22, 2020. Phase 1 includes health clubs (in other words...us!). We will be moving forward with the reopening protocols as required by us by Marion County and the Oregon Health Authority.

Before we go any further we want to say that if anyone prefers to continue training virtually that is perfectly fine. We will be continuing to offer virtual training options for individual training, semi-private training and group training classes for the foreseeable future.

For in-person training here are the requirements given to us by the County and OHA:

ON DISTANCING:

  1. Limit the number of individuals in the facility and focus on maintaining at least six (6) feet of physical distance between people.

  2. PUSH Fitness needs to use our gym’s total square footage to determine the maximum number of occupants that can be there at the same time. Our gym is just under 644 square feet meaning that we can only have a total of 4 people at any one time.

  3. Maintain six (6) feet of physical distance between trainer and client. If close contact within six (6) feet is unavoidable, it is strongly recommended that the client wear a face covering and the time during which close contact occurs is minimized.

ON HAND WASHING:

  1. Trainer and client should thoroughly wash hands with soap and warm water or use hand sanitizer (60-95% alcohol content) immediately before and after appointment.

ON FACE COVERING:

  1. We as PUSH Fitness employees are required to wear a mask, face shield, or face covering, unless an accommodation for people with disabilities or other exemption applies.

  2. According to the latest Mask and Face Covering guidelines clients are encouraged but not required to wear a mask, face shield or face covering during their training sessions.

ON CLEANING:

  1. Before entering the gym each person will be provided with a clean towel and their own bottle of cleaning solution to use to clean any equipment that you touch.

  2. PUSH Fitness will clean the gym before and after any scheduled sessions.

  3. Each person will be responsible for providing their own water bottle.

ON CHECK IN PROCEDURES:

  1. In order to comply with contact tracing rules each person will need to be sure to sign up for any sessions or classes that you plan to attend.

  2. Before checking into the gym we are required to do a verbal health check before entering the facility to screen for COVID-19 symptoms.

ON WHAT’S NEXT:

  1. Starting on Friday May 22, 2020 for those wishing to resume in-person training at this time we will ONLY be seeing individual and semi-private training clients for the next 2 weeks. (Virtual training is still an option for those who wish to do so.) Limiting in-person sessions to individual and semi-private training for the next 2 weeks will give us an opportunity to make sure that the systems we have in place are working well before we accomodate more people in the facility.

  2. After June 5th if things are going well and Marion County is still in Phase 1 we will look at adding group training classes to our in-person schedule. In the meantime, group training classes will continue to be held virtually.

We are so excited to be entering into this next chapter. We will update you with any pertinent information that comes our way as things continue to unfold during this pandemic. If you have any questions at all don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email at info@thepushfitness.com or by phone/text at (503) 383-1043.

Thank you for being on this journey with us.

Sincerely,

Cara & Jill

Good Citizen Agreement

Our members' health is our number one concern. Although the COVID-19 situation is changing everyday we are putting policies in place for when in-person training resumes with the information that we currently have available to us.

We realize the impact staying active has on our lives as well as the important role we at PUSH Fitness play in keeping you physically and mentally healthy. We want to let you know we are being proactive in making sure our environment is as safe as possible.

Here’s what we are asking of our members when in-person training resumes to keep everyone as safe as possible:

  • We ask that members wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the facility.

  • We ask that members have their temperature taken upon entering the facility by a staff member using an infrared forehead thermometer (no contact necessary).

  • Wipe down any equipment that you touch.

  • Maintain social distancing (at least 6 feet apart) from other members and/or staff members.

  • If you are sick, stay home.

Here’s what we are planning to do when in-person training resumes to keep everyone as safe as possible:

  • Encouraging members to adhere to PUSH Fitness’s Good Citizen Agreement.

  • Maintain social distancing (at least 6 feet apart) from members and other staff members.

  • Wiping down any equipment that is touched.

  • Using a UV Lamp sterilizer on all equipment and high traffic areas daily.

  • Staying up to date and in compliance with the CDC and state’s guidelines.

  • Updating our members regularly as the situation changes.

Thank you for doing your part to keep yourself and our community safe. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions. We appreciate your understanding during this difficult time.  We look forward to opening our doors for you again!

 Sincerely,

Cara & Jill
